The Flag has Dropped! Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap…
Filed under Internet Marketing 2008-2009Dec 19And they’re off… coming around the corner is Garry Parkes, followed by Dean Holland and… is it? Yea, it’s Wendy Wood, Debbie Foster and me. Tapping away at our keyboards. Oh, here comes two more of our girls, Jean Shaw and Lori James. With 17 students on my blog and many more to be listed, who will come first and comment?
oops! Need to catch my breath and dash over to Garry’s blog to get more names and visit more student sites. All in the name of Traffic Generation. Be back soon., but don’t hold your breath. You’ll turn blue waiting for me. When I visit a site, I actually read what’s going on there. If I’m going to leave a comment, I think it should be worthwhile. Don’t you? OK… I’ll be back…
Whew… Really, you shouldn’t have waited for me. I can’t say I went to a lot of blogs, but boy the blogs I went to got me hooked. Nikki Stephens (the butterfly), Nigel Yip(yip man) coined by Gary? , Austin Delaney(Hot!), and Paul Hutchins(sophisticated) and many more. You really can’t imagine the content going into these blogs. Honesty, Integrity, Emotions, Education, Experience an No Experience merging from one blog to the next. It’s a race for traffic, but it’s an orchestra composing the next group of successful marketers.
The conductor, Alex Jeffreys, says play, play, play. Altogether, make synergy. Synergy is what we shall practice. Everyday. Practice. Blog. Practice some more. Blog. Create links. Blog. Twitter. Blog.
Did you like that transition from the race track to the orchestra? Just an accident. But the point is well made. We are competing against each other but we succeed because we work together. People first. We will continue to visit other student’s blogs as well as special sites given to us by Alex (I’m sure I’ll write about them after I’ve been there). We will create value for our readers. We will use give aways and videos to generate traffic or Visitors. I like the word visitor so much better than traffic.
The contest Alex put up for us goes until 1/1/09. I can’t wait to see the end results of my efforts. I have to thank all of you in advance for your visit.
Sincerely,
Mrs Renee Olson

Hi Renee!!!!
Thank you for leaving me some wonderful comments and feedback.
Anyway more to the point, firstly great transition from race track and orchestra to what we have to do. I admire people like yourself who can write talently which makes reading so much more enjoyable and egaging whilst also demonstrating how effortlessly one can sow up various ideas and issues with beautifully descriptive examples and a dose of creativity.
I would certainly recommend other students to visit your blog and review how you write.
All the best and keep up the great posts

Nigel,
Thanks for the visit. Perhaps, I’ll think of some type of contribution for the group that revolves around how to write a post. But at the moment, I just have to say it comes from “just doing it”. Over and over and over.
“Just doing it,” refers to making yourself get through the task. It’s not something I actually think about. Sometimes it does take hours for a post to be written, but I’m not actually doing it for hours.
I start my writing and then do other things. Both online and offline. The creative side of our brain is easier to develop then the smart side.
Thanks for the comment,
Mrs Renee Olson

Hi Renee,
I just saw your commet on Lesley’s site. To have the links from your blogroll open in a new window go in to your manage links area. If you scroll down the page when you enter the link, set the destination as “_blank” and that will do the job!
How’s your traffic plan coming along?!
I have put a post on my blog about traffic tactics that have worked for me so far. One of the best has been Squidoo. I only have one lens on there at present but it has been a high traffic source.
My youtube video has also had a lot of hits and driving traffic to my ppp. I haven’t used twiter to it’s full potential but the tweetmyblog plugin is very effective (details in my post).
Let me know what’s working for you!
All the best
Mark

Hi Renee,
Just left you a reply on my site to your comments. In the meantime, I see Mark Austin has left some further information above. THANK YOU MARK for jumping in!! Now I will go back and see what the heck I have done back at my site, cause when I click on the blogroll, I see the classmate site. Yikes, my brain is hurting!
I am behind the curve here, as you are correct, my PPP is not on my site.
Had outsourced it, and that fell through TWICE. Fired that person, now back to sqaure one on it. (Help I’m melting!)
Your site is great! Lots of energy over here, you busy bee!
OK, off for a short lunch break, then back to it…
Kind regards,
LesleyP.S. I have added you to my blogroll. So come over and see when you click it, and others, what your browser says, and let me know. Do you want Mrs Renee Olson on my blogroll, or Renee Olson?

Hi Mom,
Glad you could find me in cyberspace. Let this post serve as notice to all my classmates…well let’s just make it the world, I have the best Mom.
And yes, she really does do my family’s laundry when she visits. Aren’t you all jealous?
