I know you’re out there looking for a New Opportunity
Filed under Rodan and FieldsAug 11Let me tell you why there haven’t been any posts to this site for a long time. It’s really simple. I’m out there in the real world networking and meeting tons of new people. I get a lot of questions about the need for a website. I will never say “NO” don’t make a web site, but I would suggest that you proceed with caution.
Why get all caught up in learning how to make a website when you can do a FREE blog at blogspot. Blogspot is a program operated by google. Rodan and Fields provides us with many tools to help promote our businesses on the internet. All you need to do to is look in what I call your back office and you’ll find everything that you need. So stop spinning your wheels and do the income producing activities.
My team enjoys the benefits of being able to use the internet efficiently because internet marketing is something I’ve studied for years. It’s easy for me to incorporate it into the schedule, but it’s not a necessity to be successful with Rodan and Fields. What consultants need to do the most is talk to people. Some prefer to talk on the phone, some prefer to talk over the internet. In the end, your success will come down to: Did you talk to enough people to meet your goals. If you have a question about incorporating the internet into your business, ask away.

Hey Renee,
Isn’t it a bit odd that you’re recommending people to get a free blogspot blog from Google when you’re using a hosted solution with WordPress?
With free blogging platforms you don’t own anything.
You don’t own the site, don’t own the content and you can be completely shut down any day for no reason whatsoever.
If you are recommending that in order to work with you, a free blog will do, then that’s perfectly understandable.
Anyway, all the best with your new online endeavours!

You are very perceptive and I absolutely would have thought and said the same thing you did. Consider yourself a sharp cookie and you’ll go far in business.
For someone in the internet marketing world or better named the Information marketing world, you should absolutely own your own sites and material. It wasn’t that long ago that Youtube shut down Russell Brunson’s daily video down! It’s true… He spent a lot of time and energy on moving all of his material to a new platform. A lesson well learned for IMers. Right?
However, as you know, I was a student of Alex Jeffreys. My story is simple: When I started with Alex, I wanted an online business that would make money while I slept. The only problem was I didn’t have a product to sell. And as you know by now, if you’re marketing yourself as a guru, you better be willing to make the sacrifices that come along with building an information business. If you’re a student and you want to build a fortune using 10 – 15 hours a week, you might as well go back to corporate America – work for 30 years and hope you have something left for retirement. The learning curve of information marketing is huge and finding the people with incredible integrity is difficult. There are some true shining stars out there like Gary Simpson, http://motivationselfesteem.com/talk/ and Garry Parkes, http://garryparkes.com/ and even Dean Holland ( an AJ class before me) http://deanholland.com/, but I don’t hear or see much from many of the other students.
For me, Alex Jeffreys, Gary Simpson and Parkes played a major role in leading me to where I am today. My fantastic journey led me into network marketing with two of the most famous dermatologists in the world. In simple terms, My Rodan and Fields business is leveraged with many people working when I’m not. I can sell online and drive traffic by using social media/blogging. I market a niche product in anti aging. BTW, that market currently is 2.5 billion dollars in America only. By 2015, it will produce 5 billion.. Can you even imagine what the numbers are world wide? Sergio… you’re a smart dude. The Proactiv Solution product line does almost a billion dollars a year in the acne market.
So the answer to why I tell people to use FREE Google blog spot or any other method of online marketing that could be ripped out from under their feet at anytime is because we live in a world of technology that says you will FAIL if you’re not online. What a crock! Some people feel compelled to be on the internet. In fact, network marketers are a target market for self proclaimed internet marketing gurus who promise to build them a business online. But in the END, the successful network marketer will embrace duplication, which doesn’t include spending MEGA hours learning and building a functioning website, instead we rely on our corporate office to do the heavy lifting of website management so we can focus on what makes us money.

There are many people who get lured into the idea of internet marketing the means of making an income. I just honestly don’t want to beat my head up against the wall trying to make in BIG is an arena full of corruption. And you know exactly what I’m talking about if you’ve been around for awhile. Alex can tell you a gazillion horror stories about the bad guys out there.

Hey Renee,
Just wanted to thank you for your amazing answer and suggestions and I couldn’t agree with you anymore with the ‘horror stories’ as I have seen a few ones myself.
Love that you understood what works and what’s hype and that you took action to make progress and have results.
I see people who are still striking out all the time yet they keep searching for that magic button that just doesn’t exists.
